Two profiles closing on a kiss, the space between them already claimed by a small pink heart. Facing profiles locked into one composition is among the oldest moves in modern painting -- Picasso worked it for decades -- and this canvas takes it somewhere tender rather than violent: one head carries a ringed camera-lens eye, the other holds a small blue figure inside its silhouette, a body remembered inside a head. Thick oil in jewel color on a violet ground, hearts recurring at three scales, the age-mark 26 scratched in, the signature mirrored.
