Catalogue note
The title tips to Rodin, but the thinking is rendered as inventory: a profile bust whose whole interior is packed with small faces, vessels and eyes in muted rose, mauve and slate. The palette logic is a deliberate reversal -- the figure grayed and quiet, the flat turquoise ground loud and thickly brushed -- so the world stays simple while the head stays full. Contour does the work throughout, one continuous puzzle-line dividing thought from thought.
