The most narrative canvas in the catalogue: a crowd of profiles, animals and vignettes in deep jewel color -- cobalt, magenta, emerald -- packed to the edges, with the title laddering down the margin one word at a time so the painting sets the pace of its own reading. Near the top a white vase performs an open-mouthed Scream, a direct Munch quotation folded cheerfully into the crowd. A grinning blue cat, stacked faces, a house with its own corner of weather: the picture argues its title -- come a little closer and then you see.
